Kerry D. Bodily

Short Biography 

Kerry Bodily is an author, software designer, and promoter of a precision pricing system for all types of real estate.  He spent twenty five years as an active real estate broker, Continuing Education Instructor, Real Estate Board Treasurer, and Multiple Listing Service Advisor. During his real estate career he attained many designations demonstrating their educational background: Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Competitive Pricing Specialist (CPS), and Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), .  He is devoted to research and education on the subject of pricing and valuing real estate for professionals and the general public and considers himself a pioneer in software systems for that purpose.  He has several web sites and can be contacted by email at Kerry@KerryBodily.com.

Long Biography

Kerry Bodily, after teaching in public school, working for an oil company in ten different middle management assignments, and as a tax adviser and investment counselor, started his real estate career in 1978.  During his real estate career Kerry attained many designations demonstrating their educational background: Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Competitive Pricing Specialist (CPS), and Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI). His experience in real estate sales as a broker and associate broker includes over $100 million sales in residential, commercial, land, farm/ranch, recreational and apartment/multi-unit real estate-including new construction and existing properties with many sales awards.   

In 2003 he decided to spend full time teaching and promoting a unique system he developed for pricing and valuing real estate. The system included a book, “How to Value and Price real Estate in a Competitive Market,” a software program, “XpertCMA Precision Pricing System” for real estate professionals, a simplified pricing system, “XpertCMA Home Edition- no experience required” for the general public and a Financial Analysis of Income Property software program for agents and investors.  These products have received awards for superior software and system design, are recommended by the Residential Council of the National Association of REALTORS®, and recommended or used by many top teachers and salespersons in the real estate community.   

Other achievements include a BS degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, and Education, Gold Honor Society and Treasurer of the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS®, Multiple Listing Service Advisor and beta-tester, Tax Advisor, Continuing Education Instructor for many subjects including Computer Technology, Competitive Market Analysis (CMA), and Financial Analysis of Income Properties. 

Kerry has spent the past five years teaching, sharing ideas and information  with agents in all 50 states, specifically on the topic of pricing and valuing real estate.  This subject is of critical importance to almost everyone in the real estate industry and public consumers, yet very little has been written about how the real estate market really works.  The latter half of the book is devoted to that subject. 

Kerry and his wife, Judy, recently moved from Salt Lake City, Utah, to White Salmon, Washington in the Columbia River Gorge.  Daily activities include caring for Jack and Molly, the dogs, Millie, Danny, and Latte’, the goats, ten chickens and insuring that all are protected from coyotes, cougars, and bears on the twelve acres.  Fishing for Salmon, Steelhead, Bass, Trout and Sturgeon (as big as the boats that are fishing for them) is fabulous.  This area is home to many arts and crafts, wineries, and its history includes the explorations of Lewis and Clark.
